The 200-unit cliff
At 200 units a protected SEPCO consumer pays about Rs 3,133 before FPA. One unit more — 201 — and every unit that month is billed at the unprotected rate, taking the bill to about Rs 8,264. The protected table then stays out of reach for six months.

Why is my real bill different?
Quarterly adjustments, arrears, income tax for non-filers and other one-off lines are not in the estimate. The energy charge, fixed charge and GST should match.
