A new residential or commercial meter in Lahore, Kasur, Sheikhupura, Nankana Sahib, Okara is applied for online through PITC's Electricity New Connection (ENC) portal. Here are the documents you need and every step to the meter.

Apply on the ENC portal
Open PITC's Electricity New Connection (ENC) portal, choose LESCO, and fill in the application for your sub-division.

Upload the documents
Attach CNIC, ownership proof, the wiring test report and a neighbour's bill.

Site inspection
LESCO staff from your sub-division inspect the premises and confirm the load.

Pay the demand notice
Download the demand notice from ENC and pay it at a bank or through a banking app.

Meter installation
After payment the meter is installed and your new 14-digit reference number is issued.
Documents required
- Copy of the applicant's CNIC
- Proof of ownership or tenancy (registry, fard, allotment letter, or rent agreement with the owner's NOC)
- Wiring test report signed by a licensed electrical contractor
- A recent paid bill of the nearest neighbouring connection (for locating the pole and feeder)
- Load details: the appliances you will connect, for the sanctioned load
Beware of agents
Apply and pay the demand notice only through the official portal and a bank. Never send money to a personal account to 'speed up' a connection.

How long does a new LESCO meter take?
After the demand notice is paid, NEPRA's performance standards oblige the company to energise the connection within a set period; if it is late, file a complaint.
How much does a new connection cost?
The fee depends on the load, the tariff category and the distance to the nearest pole, and is stated on your demand notice.
Can a tenant apply?
Yes, with a rent agreement and the owner's NOC in place of ownership documents.
